Al Porter's Turn Signal Improvements

Here are the pics of my modified turn signal mounts. If you can find a piece of solid plastic to make the wedge out of, it would be easier to work with than the aluminum. I use a piece of wood as a template to get the holes and angles right. You'll notice on the turn signal stalk that where the wire comes out, there's a shoulder of plastic to help locate the base along with the bolt so that it doesn't rotate. You have to do something similar on the wedge you make--I got one of those plastic vacuum tees in 5/16" from the parts store, and cut a piece off and super glued it into the wedge. When drilling the holes into the fender, note that they are not parallel to the ground--the rear hole is slightly higher--part of it is an illusion from the bike being on the center stand. Just note the original holes and their relative locations.
