| Slammers take title Tom Brady and Chad Johnson, the only two active players remaining on the Alabama roster from draft day, each scored 27 points in week 17 to lead the Slammers to an 83-61 championship game win over the Zootown Crew. The Slammers finished 12-5, winning their final five games. It was the third title since 2001 for the Slammers. The Battle Ground Gladiators took third place with an easy 74-10 win over the Orange Street Bridge Badgers. The Big Sky Growlers finished strong, beating the Garden City FishHawks 77-36 for fifth place. And the Arizona Demons rebounded from two post-season losses to win 54-39 over the Florida Flying Cockroaches. The win gave the Demons the best record in the league this year at 13-4. The Northridge Fiery Newts got 30 points from both QB Drew Brees and the Chicago defense to help them to a consolation tournament title. The Newts topped the Redondo Beach Wave 76-57 in the championshp. Brady MVP; records fall Alabama QB Tom Brady was named league MVP after breaking the all-time scoring record. Brady finished the season with 474 points. That broke Peyton Manning's record of 450 set three years ago. FishHawks' WR Randy Moss scored 27 in a losing effort, but in the process broke the receiver's scoring record with 255 points. Jerry Rice had held that record for 12 years at 230 points.
