Adult Education
Do you
have questions about God, about Presbyterians, or about the Bible? Do you
hunger to know God more than just one hour a week during worship on Sunday
Morning? Do you want to meet other people who are asking the same questions and
explore God's answers together? Take a step of faith and explore what God has
for you in any of the future classes. Come and see what god will do!
Where’s
Where in God’s Word Teacher: Bill Lockman
January 6 – April 2008 Sundays 9:30 am, Room 339
Knowledge of the people and places in the
ancient world is of tremendous value in understanding the Bible. God used real people and real places to
reveal God’s plan for mankind. In Where’s Where in God’s Word, the people
and places of the Bible will be examined to help us understand the Biblical
story.
The course will begin with a look at the
patriarchs and end with the spread of Christianity outside of its base in
Palestine. Scripture related to each of
these lessons will be reviewed to help build our knowledge of Where’s Where in God’s Word. Numerous maps and photographs will
illustrate the course.
Church
Based Youth Ministry
Teacher: Jodie Mathews, Kim Hodder
January 6 – February 24 Sundays 9:30 am
This class was so meaningful to those who
participated on Sunday evenings this fall that we are offering it on Sunday
mornings in the winter. It is designed
to give the entire congregation insight on strengthening the church and helping
our young people develop spiritually.
Jodie Mathews and Kim Hodder
will use the book Family Based Youth
Ministry by Mark Devries to lead the class.
Because it’s more about the church family than the nuclear family, we’re
calling the class “CHURCH Based Youth Ministry!” Come and see why those who’ve already taken
it found it to be so worthwhile.
